Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that clean and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet messes in one go without the need to switch devices. They also can save space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will have excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Find models that automatically empty their bin and fill up their water tank, and wash their mopping pads from a dedicated dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the easiest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you running with a clean, full dust bag, a hard floor solution and water tank in no time at all.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that is able to clean up a storm and vacuums well too. The mops spin at high speeds and exert 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, allowing for quick removal of pet hair, dirt and dried sticky spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a variety of attachments and brushes, and an intuitive app that lets you select the type of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.
You can, for example, ask the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly, but leave the bedroom in its own space. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation tech are superb, with the robot being able to detect tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. Its only issue is that the robot is known to smash into walls and objects at a high speed. However an inspection of the history of cleaning on the app will show you exactly what the robot accomplished, where it's moving, and what obstacles he has run into or avoided.
The docking station features a handy LCD screen that shows the need for maintenance like emptying the debris and washing the water tank that is dirty. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank, by using a 600ml bottle filled with Eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time, with the mop capable of operating for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode, and the vacuum capable of running for 136 minutes in standard mode before having to recharge or return to the base to refill. The app is simple to use and intuitive, allowing you to look at every aspect of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's flagship robot vacuum and mop, is the most recent version. In contrast to the model of last year, this one features an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad, which significantly improves its carpet cleaning capabilities. updated blog post has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to pull up small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners may overlook.
The Roborock model, just like the other two I tested is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it overcome obstacles like walls, furniture, and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by having a dual camera that can detect objects and decide whether they are an object that is a wall or a different surface. It will then automatically alter its path and clean around them without missing a beat.
This is the most expensive of the three models I've examined, but it's also feature-packed. Its sleek and angular design is attractive and it only has three physical buttons: the power button, which also resumes cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home button to send the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml tank of water. The water tank is self-emptying and the bin is auto-filling.
The only issue I encountered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. You can replace the mopping cloth if needed, but it's difficult to remove the mount for washing manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet that the robot passes will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of clever features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app is where you can manage and configure these smart features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app lets you schedule cleanings and monitor the battery's life. You'll need to jump through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering how efficient it is otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop that has incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and ingenuity features. Its clever design permits customized and efficient cleaning while also saving time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to offer 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful choices available. This powerful vacuum removes dry debris, including pet hair and dust. It comes with a mop that is excellent quality that can clean hard floors without the need for pads. Additionally the X40 is quiet in it's operation, producing only occasional bursts of noise when switching between modes or completing self-maintenance tasks.
The X40 has a side brush that is able to be lifted and extended. This allows it to reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean furniture with curved edges like chairs and table legs. The robot can also reach under furniture that is low-profile which makes it a great choice for small apartments or condos. The side brush automatically tilts down when it spots wet spots. This is a wonderful feature that allows the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through repeated back-and-forth movements.
Unlike some other robots that only focus on one task, the X40 can perform both vacuuming and mopping at the same time or separately. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors, and skip carpeted areas, or reverse the process. It can be controlled through the Dreame app or by using Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.
The app is intuitive and easy to use and the X40's intelligent features are a breeze to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, view floor plans and maps and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and notify you when it's done.
The X40 is easy to keep clean and has many convenient features which make it a good choice for busy families. The docking station can automatically cleans the dustbin and the mop pads and refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It can also detect when the mop pad is overflowing and alert you before it overflows, reducing the necessity for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive models available and comes with a lot of additional features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub is a brand new feature of its mop, utilizes two high-speed mop heads to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can clean pet hair and small dirt particles - and also pick up spills and wet spots.
The mop is cleaned and dried in the base station every time they are used. This is a great feature since it prevents the build-up of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and it also makes mop systems more efficient. It's a system that has yet to be seen on other robot vacuum and mop models, and it could be a good method of keeping your home hygienic for longer.
There's a plethora of settings available, including the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust a number of different preferences. They can be set through the app or there are direct buttons on the unit itself. The app is simple to use and has a lot of options to customize the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are a lot of features that other robots do not include, such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically boosts suction power when it detects dust particles instead of relying on the manual setting.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen on market, sporting a white and metallic design that looks elegant and classy. It's heavier than the other two-in-1 robots on this list - at 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy, and it feels sturdy and well-built. The mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mop is great for hard floors as well as in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to extend up to 2mm below the baseboards.
